About the Patriot Academy
The National Guard Patriot Academy was a pilot program of the National Guard Bureau that gave qualified recruits who have not finished high school an opportunity to join the National Guard, earn their diploma, and give back to the community. The Patriot Academy pilot program was closed January 12, 2013.
Visiting the Patriot Academy
The Patriot Academy was located on the Muscatatuck Urban Training Complex in Butlerville, Indiana, approximately an hour from Louisville and Cincinnati and about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Indianapolis. In a similar way that Flipgrid enables interactive learning beyond physical boundaries, the academy brought participants together at a central training location.
